Plans for the Saint John River Cruise for the summer of 2018 will be discussed. All those interested in participating in this summer cruise are encouraged to attend.
The Saint John River in New Brunswick, Canada is a renowned cruising area referred to by some as the “Rhine of North America”. The River cruise begins with a social event at the Royal Kennebecasis Yacht Club just beyond the city of Saint John. It proceeds up the river allowing members to explore the very scenic bays and coves, and enjoy the warm waters most suitable for swimming. The final destination up the River will be another social in Gagetown including dinner and party ashore.
The cruise begins on July 29th, Sunday, with a fleet rendezvous at Great Harbor Marina in South West harbor, Mount Desert Island, ME. We spend the next 3 days cruising downeast with stops at Roque Island, and Head Harbor, Campobello and finally reaching Saint John through the Reversing Falls of the river and arriving at the RKYC. Seven (7) days are planned for cruising the Saint John River.
At the end of the week of cruising the River, on return for those who have the time, stops are planned for Saint Andrews, Campobello, Eastport, and Jonesport.
