About this event
Join our small flotilla as we day hop up the coast to join the Maine Cruise.
Stargazer’s home port is in East Greenwich RI but we’ll be bouncing around south of the canal.
Copying is among the the most sincere forms of flattery and we’ll be attempting a repeat of John Garner’s 2024 epicurean Maine Train with some tweaks.
Join for as much/little of the Maine Train as suits your itinerary.
If you're new to these waters let us know and we will provide extra guidance on our way down east.
We'll have a text group of boat captains and stay in touch monitoring 16/72.
If weather becomes an issue, we will revise the cruise destinations on the fly.
If you'd rather not dine out every night, you're more than welcome to do as you please without feeling guilt.
At this point I believe the Southern Cruise ends in Marion on July 24.
From there it’s a short ride to our starting point in Onset.
Contact Town of Wareham Harbormaster via Dockwa for mooring or anchor.

Saturday July 26.
From Marion to Scituate 40miles.
Tide turns from slack to favorable just after 5 AM for the canal so plan on an early departure.
This will be the longest leg made longer as I like to stop off and look at the whales.
Hail VHF 09 Cedar Point Launch for a mooring.
Or if you have reciprocal privileges consider the Scituate Yacht Club.
Scituate is a good spot for groceries, laundry, pharmacy, liquor, are all steps away from the harbor.
Let's meet up for dinner at Salt in Scituate.
Sunday July 27
Scituate to Gloucester 25 miles
Request an inner harbor town mooring in Gloucester on Dockwa.

Monday July 28
Gloucester to Portsmouth/Kittery 30 miles
Reserve your mooring at Kittery Point Yacht Yard , or Portsmouth Yacht Club etc.
Hop in your dinghy for Frisbees Wharf on the Pepperell side https://www.pepperrellcove.com/ Portsmouth YC has moorings there. They also have a launch.
Tuesday July 29
Kittery to Biddeford Pool or anchor at Richmond Island 40 miles.
Meet for Sundowners and pot luck. Only restaurant around is takeout.
Wednesday July 30
Biddeford Pool to Handys Boat Marina 22 miles.
