Moorings are available in Boothbay through Dockwa (a free app) at the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club (207-633-5750) $50 per night with launch and water on the dock, at the Carousel Marina (207-633-2922) price listed also on Dockwa with water, fuel and power in the slips/dock and a restaurant/bar Whale's Tale and, through my relationship with Blake's Boatyard on a limited basis at $40 per night with dinghy tie-up. Blake's and the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club allow easy dinghy access to our cottage (pre-trip crew meeting and potluck dinner or lunch and a car)... Carousel Marina puts the boat downtown but a long walk to the supermarket (Hannaford's). Our cruise boats might do well to plan 3 nights on a mooring before departure Thursday 8/15 for Matinicus Island and then Shelburne, Nova Scotia. If in need of repairs of any kind, a good choice is Hodgdon's Yacht Services (207-633-2970), a 45 minute trip under power (or 10 minutes by car) from Boothbay to Southport Island if one times the half hour Townsend Gut swing bridge openings.
